Do I need to put the Flyer ID and Operator ID on my drone

You only need to put the Operator ID on your drone

You only need to put the Operator ID on your drone. The Flyer ID is something you should carry with you as the remote pilot but you don't need to affix the ID to the drone.

Sole Trader / Hobby

If you are a sole trader or just a hobbyist, the Operator ID registered with the CAA should be as an individual in your name.

Limited Company

If you are operating as a limited company then you must register your Operator ID as an organisation and nominate a person.

Below is a link to register for your Operator ID as an organisation.

I have a Flyer ID but not an Operator ID

If you already have a flyer ID, you’ll need to add your operator ID in the My registration area.

Where can I affix the Operator ID?

You can affix the Operator ID anywhere on the drone including inside the battery compartment, as long you can access the compartment to view the Operator ID.
